Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). WotC reprinting 3.5

Drohem

I probably will not spend any money on these reprints.  Although, it would be very cool to have the three 3.5 D&D core books with all the errata included; especially with the knowledge that no new errata is forthcoming. ;)

thedungeondelver

Thinking on this; if I had to pick a "version" of 3rd edition I preferred (and lord knows I don't much care for either one) I'd honestly say 3e rather than 3.5 just based on 3e's presentation.  The 3.5e DMG is dull, dull, dull.  When I checked out a 3rd edition DMG it seemed to at the very least have some ... verve? to it.  3.5 is fantasy stereo instructions.

I'm sure I'll pass on this either way as 3.x is my least favorite edition.

1989

I'll for sure pass, as well, but man, can we please have some 2e and some Rules Cyclopedia!?

Endless Flight

A Rules Cyclopedia reprint would sell like hotcakes.

misterguignol

Hmm, I might be the only weirdo who'd rather see all the BECM booklets republished in one big box than the Rules Cyclopedia!

Endless Flight

Well, in reality, what I'd really like to see is the Rules Cyclopedia formatted to include the art from the boxed sets.

Replace BECM with Moldvay/Cook/Marsh B/X in one box and I'm sold.

I think I would like a BECMI or a Moldvay reprint...but the thing is, you can still get dead-tree versions of S&W and LL, can't you? And they even have nice covers.

Sure, and LL is what I use currently.  I can say without shame that I'd buy a BECM reprint solely for the nostalgia.  Nostalgia isn't always a bad thing.

The B&N links to these alleged "3.5E" books don't work anymore.

Doing a search for WotC titles on B&N, these three titles don't show up at all anymore.

A hoax all along?

Endless Flight

I don't know, but the Amazon prices for 3.5 books are outrageous. Sellers charging $480 for a "new" core rulebook slipcase set? If I knew anyone might pay for them at that price I should have bought a few for $60 back then and tucked them away for investment purposes.

Marleycat

I'm not interested in a 3.5 reprint since I have Pathfinder. But an RC? Not even a question.
Don\'t mess with cats we kill wizards in one blow.;)

Quote from: 1989;534142Give me my 2e reprints!!!! YES! Make it happen!!!

Lucky for me, I have multiple copies of my 2e stuff.  Too bad I can't find anyone to play with around here.  My gaming group prefers other games (WFRP 1e, Compact Heroes, etc) than AD&D 2e.
