Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Does Sasquatch Game Studio still exist? The last update on their website was in 2018. So, who owns the Alternity IP now?

It's mothballed but you can buy their stuff on Drivethru. Primeval Thule is really good, I was sad they gave up on it to do Alternity.

So was I. Primeval Thule works great with Savage Worlds, but their focus was of course on 5E. Which I do not think of as an appropriate system for low magic settings.5E only supports high fantasy well.

I tend to agree, though I found it decent at low-medium level. I went over to using Mini Six for Primeval Thule. Then I ran Xoth using Dragonbane, which was excellent.

Well they did mention at some point that they could not use the original unique Alternity races for their game and created new ones. So I don't think they got all of the IP if they did buy it.

Wizards reused the Alternity races more recently in D20 Future, I believe, so that probably made it sticky to let another group use them.

They really were obsessed with the Wren for a long time. They pop up again in 4e D&D Gamma World.

I don't believe that 6e/50th Anniversary won't have fancy, expensive hardcovers.

Beyond the core books, they might be entirely digital. That sounds fair.

But new edition D&D core books hit the top of Amazon and other bestseller lists. That's huge profits AND huge advertising.

WotC is run by drooling retards, but the CEO/CFO know the sales numbers are too great for core books to avoid printing them.
