This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

RPG podcasts we like - Legion of Myth
« on: February 05, 2023, 01:13:49 PM »
So this is the podcast I watch the most.  Legion of Myth.

https://m.youtube.com/@LegionofMyth

They just got done reviewing many of Palladium books RPGs over this past year.  They are onto other games now.

Sundays at 1pm central time is their review stream, and Friday nights are the chill stream where guests talk over gaming topics and just hang out.

They might be a good fit for the people around here as wokeness is not their style.  At all.

Another podcast is Bigus Geekus.  They’re the guys that started that little known online store called Big Geek Emporium in response to DTRPG censorship.

https://m.youtube.com/@BiggusGeekus

They stream on Tuesdays, though I don’t have the time to watch live.

What do you guys watch?

I’m glad for you if you like the top selling game of the genre.  Me, I like the road less travelled, and will be the player asking we try a game you’ve never heard of.

I don't use YouTube, but the two podcasts you mentioned are on Odysee. I've listened to both and enjoy them. Legion of Myth's recent overview of Mage actually clarified a lot of things about the system for me (as a person who has never played the game but always wanted to).

I like Fear the Boot : https://www.feartheboot.com/ftb/ (not a video podcast). They do a pretty good job of avoiding talking about political subjects.
