This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hasbro *should* have issued a statement in response to those whiny cunts. Something along the lines of "Opinions are like assholes. Now get back to work or you're fired."

When people *don't* give in to the equivalent of a 4 year old throwing a tantrum, they eventually exhaust themselves (like any toddler).  The moment you acquiesce, you're done for.

Wisely, for once, swept under the rug by WotC. Watch for birth control magic items showing up in 5E modules and some discreet firings over the next few months.

The irony would be that birth control methods were already included in "sex supplements" for the 3E era - but Wizards was "above these juvenile things" (even if I maintain that "The Book of Erotic Fantasy was quite good - "classy" horrifying photos excluded). Someone wrote a guide to sex for 5E available as a free PDF but I guess it has been nuked as it is no more available (there is a copy on Scribd behind a paywall). Seeing WotC now scrambling to publish sex stuff for 5E would be worth it. ;D
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

So here's a weird thought I had. I firmly believe that this forum gets tons of readers, meaning the sjdubs that hate us. So they see our comments. The reason I believe this to be true is because there's mention of this forum on .... other forums. So I have no reason to doubt that people from WotC read this forum. And I hope they see our comments and they see how stupid they are. One can only hope.

The funny thing is, birth control and abortion was widely practiced in ye olde medieval times. And past it, too. The Puritans (yes, those ones) had legal abortion up until the first kick.

The funny thing is, birth control and abortion was widely practiced in ye olde medieval times. And past it, too. The Puritans (yes, those ones) had legal abortion up until the first kick.

What's really disingenuous about the whole thing is:

1. People protesting in states where nothing has changed as a result of the SCOTUS ruling that,  contrary to popular opinion amongst the left, abortion isn't mentioned in the Constitution as a right.  The lack of self-awareness is palpable

2. Celebrities and politicians who live in foreign countries showing solidarity with protestors when their own abortion laws are *more* restrictive.

3. The "horror stories" being imagined about poor incest rape victims having misshapen children when the reality is >98% are elective as a form of birth control for the convenience of the woman.

The fact that abortion was legal amongst the Puritans merely reinforces that it was up to the citizens of the state to decide, through their state legislators.  What I find incredible is that Reps and Senators have *proven* that they wouldn't be representing the citizens of their states or of their state governments by sighting they would support abortion even when the states or the prime they represent do not.

I think it also shows how easy it is to find yourself stuck in an echo chamber.  They just can't understand how any reasonable person could disagree with whatever they believe this week.

I go out of my way not to talk about political stuff at work.  I even work for a company that has a related political advocacy operation.  There are approved/recommended political candidates and positions on different policy issues related to our business.  I don't even talk about that stuff.  Talking about any of that stuff is guaranteed to tick off 30%-50% of your clients in a "battleground" area like mine.

I've told clients, "I don't get paid to have opinions.  I get paid to get your paperwork right."

Ok hear me out.  There is a computer program that generates scientific research papers.  If WOTC could reconfigure it to write gaming books, then they could fire their costly SJW staff and produce marginally better game books...

When has WotC ever gotten a computer-based initiative to work?
