Quoted this one for hitting the nail on the head.   Some of those people must not have a fully functioning brain, or maybe enough of the people revolting think they are the target demographic for toys?

They openly said that the situation caused them mental health problems.

From the Twitter account "Wizards for Justice":

On Wednesday, June 29th all employees are encouraged to take a day to reflect, nurture mental health, and show solidarity that Hasbro will not.

I posted about this in the political forum but my post is still "waiting for approval". In the link I gave:

...There is this reference to a "a controversial email sent to (Sony) employees by (Sony President) Jim Ryan". So I checked and what I found was simply:

Ryan sent an email to PlayStation employees asking that they respect each other's "differences of opinions" on the matter.

Nothing else. This guy just asks for respect for each other in one of the most complex and divisive matters out there and he gets plastered. That there can be Sony employees with anti-abortion rights and no one wants a civil war isn't even contemplated. Need for mental health care indeed.

Well, according to those at WotC,

--- Quote ---Any messaging that suggests or implies that there are other, valid, opinions and approaches to this further marginalization of already at risk groups, on their bodily autonomy is unnecessary, invalid, and damaging. (4/11)
--- End quote ---

I was sorely tempted to ask "So will official D&D AL events and Magic tournaments require trampling on a crucifix for participating, or will the opening hymn to Moloch suffice?" ;)

That dictum is made even more surreal by what directly follows it:

Such messaging only seeks to protect and validate those that seek to control, and is the wrong direction for any organisation with as diverse a customer base as ours.

Somehow "diverse" doesn't include "people with anti-abortion views". According to WotC, if you are anti-abortion you for sure don't play Magic or D&D because... reasons. The level of blind stupidity is astounding.

Hey, it worked for Toys 'R' Us. Wait....

Abraxus:
Talk about being fucking clueless.

Why would a company whose large percentage of customer base is children going to make any negative comments about the ruling.

As usual can’t get in the way of carefully constructed personal narratives can we.

Hasbro is not going to risk what is probably a large part of the fan base for some truly dumb SJWs.

Asking how well the fast food chains did when the all tried to carry an push a vegan version of burgers and then get back to me.
