This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The purpose of this thread is to make a Wizard for each level from 1st to 21st levels. Hopefully, the wizards will be unique and interesting, and will be good characters for DMs to use as NPCs. The different characters will attempt to highlight the many different ways a wizard can be.

Feel free to contribute with your own wizards!

Not to be a stickler but this really should be in the D20 section.  If your goal is only Wizards from 1st to 20th level for D&D.

But becasue it's in here I think I'll stat out Wizards for some other systems (once I get home).  D&D magic is so cardboard.

i couldn't figure out whether it would be fantasy or d20. if something is both it seems arbitrary what section it goes it. but if an admin would care to move the thread... that's agreeable.

We moved it primarily because we feel it might get more response in this forum.

This is a very good idea!  We should do this for all main classes, sounds fun.  I'll post a wizard when I get home.  If people actually help out the original poster - this could be an excellent way to collaborate our creativity.

Jon is a severe alcoholic. He is found drunk in a bar and has extremely poor hygiene. Jon will only talk with people who buy drinks for him. For a price, he will accompany to party to a nearby area of interest (temple, dungeon, etc) or will show them around the shady areas of town. If Jon thinks he can get away with it, after the party finishes clearing out an area, he will attempt to hypnotise them and run off with the treasure. The party can then find him in the same exact location he was found originally, but if they try to confront him in the bar they will find that Jon is friends with several of the disreputable patrons.

Aiviah Starseer is a slight woman, barely over five feet tall and one hundred pounds when wet and fully clothed.  In her youth a violent mob burned her parent's farm down, killing her mother and providing the wounds that would later kill her father from fever and infection.  She herself was burned visibly about the face and left arm, leaving scars that go deeper than mere flesh.

When her father died, she adopted an absolute loathing of chaos and what it can do to good people.  She vowed never to allow something like this to happen again, if she can stop it.

As an adult of 23, she petitioned for months and was finally accepted to an appointed position as a Justice of her town.  It's an appointment normally made only to men - and normally to those who have served in the town militia.  She was afforded this appointment on the laurels of her father's militia duty and her persistence.

She is often seen in her white Justice's Cloak riding her roan horse Gallows from village to village, accompanied by an appointed Justice Guardian (usually a decent swordsman of low level), keeping peace and investigating crimes.  The townsfolk whisper of her magical abilities - and most people believe her powers far more vast than they really are.  Her quick temper and quicker daggers have earned her a reputation - Swift Justice.
