You can't have her!
NONE OF YOU CAN HAVE HER!
She's Mine, I tell you! ALL MINE!
AH! HA!

*AHEM*
Excuse me...
Cyclotron:
So anyway...
--- Quote from: Sobek ---No kidding. I thought I was lucky to have one the play RPGs. Now I find out there are models that actually read the books and may run games, too.

Yup... I count myself pretty lucky. My wife's nearly as big a gamer geek as I am. She's especially fond of D&D and Spycraft. She GMs almost as often as she plays.
Currently, we've got it rigged up so that our group plays every Sunday evening. She usually runs a D&D game and I run something else that everyone wants to try out... The games alternate weeks. That way, we both get to play, we both get to GM, we get to play our good old D&D game, we get try all the cool new games, plus it gives us a bit of time between sessions, as GMs, to prepare for the next adventure.
Right now, she's running a very high-power, high-magic D&D game using the gestalt rules from UA. We're pushing 10th level with 6 characters in the party, and it's turning out to be a bit much... She's starting to complain about the PCs having too magic, and always solving every problem with spells first, and how many of the players go out of their way just to pick a fight even if the encounter is easily avoidable, and so on.
One of our players has Iron Heroes, and was talking about it after the last game. My wife thought it sounded interesting, and I thought it sounded like the answer to her self-inflicted problem. So she's getting a copy for her birthday.
:D
Cyberzombie:
Very cool.
Unfortunately, my wife never has the time to DM, which is a damn dirty shame. I should get her a simpler system -- D&D just takes more time than she has to prepare.

Every time she comes to you for crazy sex, hand her the DMG and MM instead and say, "If you want me to get to work you gotta get to work first!"

If you like I could send her some information on a game system that IME cuts prep time by at least 2/3s compared to D&D.
Just sayin.
