SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: ImperatorI love them because you can do anything with them.

I love them because I've met some of the best friends in my life through them.

I love them for the special energy you find at a con, and because I find beautiful to see grown people remembering what being a child means.

QFT!  Those are my reasons, or so close as to be indistinguishable.

There were mummy space pirates in Vor the Maelstrom.

They're called the Pharon and they steal the life force of their victims by juicing them.  The lords of the Pharon can afford enough people juice to look like beautiful humans but their lackies are all bandaged up and carrying jugs of emergency people juice.

Vor also had an entire race of guys like Thanos and Darkseid.

Sadly they chose to focus on the growlers.

I love roleplaying games because, more than any other activity, they encourage people to actually lay pieces of their thinking out on the table and let other people tinker with them.

"Oh ... so you feel that order is more important to a society than justice?  Well daaaaayyuummmmm!  Okay then ... what's your take on an evil prince who rules with an iron, fascist brigade of monstrous enforcers?  And no, I'm not talking about some hypothetical iron prince, I'm talking about Heinrich von Sturm, and he's just impounded your dirigible!"Man, I find human beings endlessly fascinating.
