Just Another Snake Cult

Quote from: Benoist;721227The Egg of Coot is a pun on Gregg Scott, who was a wargamer that continually bitched at fantasy as lame and childish and claimed wargaming was "manly". He was an asshole to Dave, so he basically made him the villain in Blackmoor as a joke.

Didn't he do something really cruel to Dave at one point? Like get him kicked out of the local wargaming club or something?

I vaguely recall something like that from Playing at the World (Which I need to re-read).
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I remember reading something about some prank that cost Dave quite a bit of money, in addition to the nasty taunting and making fun of him and all that. What that "prank" exactly was, I do not know.

Aleena - pathetic and doe-eyed victim.
Morgan Ironwolf - asskicker who leveled. And her name is better.

;)

Also, Aleena is dead (a bit more of an issue than being a victim), time for the necrophiles to move on. :-)

Quote from: The Ent;721148I have to admit that I totally crushed on Aleena back when I got the red box (my first rpg), I guess I was 12-13. I suppose I'm still pro-Aleena. At least she has more reasonable gear. :D

Meh... My teen D&D crush was...

Blackmoor grew from a single Castle to include, first, several adjacent Castles (with the forces of Evil lying just off the edge of the world to an entire Northern Province of the Castle and Crusade Society's Great Kingdom.

So true, though Valeria's similarities to Morgan are notable :)

The Ent

I always liked Valeria lots, too! Best Warrior woman ever.

Neither does Morgan. Hers are just 9th level (and, as a result, have recruited followers).

That sounds about right to me! :D
