This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Christmas Ape

Well, you've touched on exactly what appeals to me about Renegade Crowns, so I'd say I'm with you on that one.

I've been in a bit of a buying hiatus recently, having slaked most of my major lusts prior to a busy pre-Winter Purchase Holiday run of birthdays, so the only thing I snagged recently was Lords of Madness, which cost $10 with $9.99 in shipping. :D I really, really like aboleths, grells, and mind flayers anyway, and the tsochar are by far my favorite monster new to 3e. I'd get it for any D&D game I intended to run. I'm an aberration kind of guy...must be all the Lovecraft I read as a young gamer.

I keep meaning to get it together and get Art of the Duel and Emerald Empire off Amazon (they don't take PayPal, so I need a friend's card, but we work opposite shifts so I rarely see him, etc.), but now I might just wait for Masters of War.
Heroism is no more than a chapter in a tale of submission.

The internet recognizes only five forms of self-expression: bragging, talking shit, ass kissing, bullshitting, and moaning about how pathetic you are. Combine one with your favorite hobby and get out there!

I bought the Armory d30 Gaming Tables.

Quite frankly, they stink.

I just ordered Byzantium Secundus and the Player's Companion for Fading Suns used off Amazon. Why hadn't I heard of this system sooner I don't know, but it's everything I want in my sci-fi. It's got the cooler aspects of Warhammer 40K without the stupid shit and fanboy placation, touches of Dune and Aliens, and all wrapped up in an interesting history. Now to see if the system breaks or not...

Just picked up West End Games Star Wars RPG 2nd edition used for $12.  Pretty beat up condition, but when I saw the faux ads in there, I had to have it.  Anybody know how this compares to the 1st edition?

Also got Q Manual for James Bond RPG for $2!!!! HELL YEAH!

I think the 2nd ed of Star Wars D6 was a little more detailed, but it was also very similar to the first edition (if memory serves).  D6 Star Wars was a lot of fun to play, as I recall.  I think you got to play more races in the 2nd (just wookie, ewok, human mostly in the 1st ed).

I just purchased five books I don't need from the Paizo Green Ronin sale.  At least one of them is a gift.  I don't know where I will place the other four.  My shelves are FULL!

I just picked up the Traveller Book Hardcover from ebay. Lots better than having to look through separate books or looking at the newer editions.
