SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: JongWKThat's something of a retcon, wouldn't you agree?

I'd say this isn't the place to discuss it. Though I really can't imagine how you could have believed that group was benevolent, or that there was a single moment they were portrayed as benevolent.

A great GM requires to put something forth that a player's characters can break against.  It's not our decision to decide, it's theirs.  Learning how to do that is either accidental or purposeful but it's relevant nonetheless.  The "win" is theirs to decide.  Learning how to GM from that perspective is a tremendous responsibility for me.

Quote from: SaphimActually I think the "truth" this thread is proposing is bullshit. A great GM doesn't need any power, he needs a couple of player and that is about it. If shared narrative control or other kind of player input is making the game worse in your eyes, then you are a crappy GM.

"Shared narrative control" you commie Forgeite!:D

So atheists have been abused, treated badly by clergy or they\'re stupid.They\'re just being trendy because they can\'t understand The God Delusion because they don\'t have the education, plus they\'re just pretending to be atheists anyway. Pundit you\'re the one with a problem, terminal stupidity.
