SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Long lost character sheets found!

Quote from: The_Rooster;681498Why don't you just admit it? You know what you're doing. Why defend it against the likes of me? Does my opinion of you matter so much to you that you can't own up to something as simple as elitism? Or are you really that lacking in self-awareness?
Coming from the person who STARTED the "Our way must be the only right way things are done" business, this is pretty rich.  Are you that much of a solipsist that the definition of objectionable behavior is "That which other people do?" Or ... are you really that lacking in self-awareness?
This was a cool site, until it became an echo chamber for whiners screeching about how the "Evul SJWs are TAKING OVAH!!!" every time any RPG book included a non-"traditional" NPC or concept, or their MAGA peeners got in a twist. You're in luck, drama queens: the Taliban is hiring.

Nice dodge, whoever you are.

Jesus Christ, shut the fuck up.

Also, my buddy dug up some sheets from a campaign we played just a few years ago and I reflected fondly on the names...Poon Jab, Mert Furburglar, Double Deuce. There are some so terrible I can't even type them out.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

Did you see the name of my fighter?  Can you take one guess where I got it from?

Hint:  This was in the 80s.  :D
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

I'm going to have to see if I can dig out my old character archive from the 90's, would love to go back over my WoD & Cyberpunk 2020 characters from that time.

Also, remember the board has an ignore list function, I ignore listed Rooster for being a massive tool a while ago, it has made my experience much more enjoyable.

I couldn't read it too well.  Merlock?  Matlock?

Wait....  Did you get the name from Wizards and Warriors?

Okay, I got it, even without your pic showing up.  I should have guessed.  ;-)

Quote from: Rincewind1;681444All of you fail your Spot checks to notice the obvious discrepancy that this is a forged AD&D character sheet:

NO TEN FOOT POLE.
He had what looks like fifty feet of rope though so that covers a multitude.

Anyway real D&D players would just throw the halfling in first and wait for the fireworks to die down. :D

I've some very yellowed character sheets hiding under a table somewhere, I must dig them out.
"These children are playing with dark and dangerous powers!"
"What else are you meant to do with dark and dangerous powers?"
A concise overview of GNS theory.

Well, you got to tie the rope around the halfling before you throw him. Really, you want to be able to get your bait back. :D
"Meh."

Imp

That depends on if the halfling is Chaotic Neutral.
