FWIW, a few tech-oriented websites I peruse are advising people to delete their Google Plus profiles ASAP. Now that it's a dead social network walking, and with this latest API hack, bad people are going to look for as many holes as possible in G+'s security before it shuts down as they figure they will have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the heads up. I've deleted my G+ accounts.
Whilst I quite liked Google+, I think it's better to delete my accounts there now before things go (if they haven't already) horribly wrong.

I don't really see how things could "go wrong" that requires you to delete your accounts now. They'll be deleted for you soon enough...

It's likely security won't be updated very well given it's dead in the water.
I'd rather delete my own account with the best chance it'll be done properly , rather than trust a shut down of the service or hacks that might happen until then.

I don't know about that. They're going to have to do the job of somehow uncoupling G+ from the other google services.

There was a little bit of a process to delete my account, review what services to disable/delete, but it wasn't that hard.
As things stand, G+ is no longer active for me and all my other Google services work fine.

Are there STILL risks? Well sure, but I've done the best I can to help reduce the risk to my gmail etc account and make me a harder target compared to those who have retained their G+ accounts.
