This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What are your top 5 "must have" Star Wars d6 WEG supplement books?

Quote from: RPGPundit;1024124What can I say? I ran a multi-year campaign with it.

Me too. Star Wars RCR was bar none the most fun d20 based RPG I ever ran. A couple of years back using a Lulu coupon, I printed out about 2000 pages of material for d6 Re-Up, much of which can be adapted easily enough to a d20 based game. Heck before there was a d20 Star Wars, I had converted ships from WEG Star Wars to the Buck Rogers XXVc RPG.

I also used it as the underlying system for my Legion of Superheroes campaign.

Did you at least use the vastly superior Saga Edition?

Which supplements have useful game mechanics/non-fluff that isn't already contained in the Reup edition?

HappyDaze

I haven't looked at Reup, but I found the Tales of the Jedi Companion very useful, but not for the era stuff. I used it because it put all of the 2e Force powers in one place. Of course, I'm sure that's out there online somewhere too.

I also liked Pirates and Privateers too. Nothing you couldn't make up on your own, but that's true of most of these books.

I remember buying d20 Star Wars 1st edition BiTD, realising it was utter garbage, and not buying any more non-D&D stuff from WotC.

It was a little problematic to use a system that didn't yet exist. :D

Outside the basic book:

Tramp Freighters
Bounty Hunters
Platts Smugglers Guide

I use these even now as reference material for my FFG games (and a lot of other WEG books).

I didn't. Also ran a highly successful business 1 year + campaign with the revised d20 book. I own all of saga but haven't ever played it.

Currently running: The Great Pendragon Campaign & DC Adventures - Timberline
Currently Playing: AD&D

I'd go with:
Rebel Alliance sourcebook
Imperial sourcebook
Platt's Starport guide
Bounty Hunter galaxy guide
The Black Sands of Socorro

I was also a fan of the Craken's Guides and the Adventure Journal.

That's suspiciously a lot (like 80%, I never got Platt's) like my list.  Hmmm...

I prefer First Edition and my go to books would be:

Imperial Sourcebook
Rebel Alliance Sourcebook
Tramp Freighters
The Planets Collection

Totally different opinion here. I loved Star Wars D20 Revised. It was a great game, with good sourcebooks.
