This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Here's a picture of what you get in the Boardgame-formerly-known-as-WFRP:

It looks like any of FFG's other board games.

It does. I expect it will be hugely successful.

If this becomes a big hit amongst the under-25 crowd, I wouldn't be surprised to see 5E D&D being designed and sold in a similar boardgame style format.

WotC is probably watching the developments very closely.

Pseudoephedrine

I won't be making the switch.
Running
The Pernicious Light, or The Wreckers of Sword Island;
A Goblin\'s Progress, or Of Cannons and Canons;
An Oration on the Dignity of Tash, or On the Elves and Their Lies
All for S&W Complete
Playing: Dark Heresy, WFRP 2e

Nope, not a chance.  It doesn't help that I haven't found a FFG boardgame that I thought fun yet.

kryyst

There are plenty of ideas they are introducing that I like.  However I won't be making the switch anytime soon.  But I will say that when presented like that it almost looks like $100 worth of stuff.  Just as long as it's not sitting beside Space Hulk or Runescape, a couple other $100 games that look like they have way - way more stuff.
AccidentalSurvivors.com : The blood will put out the fire.

Clearly, this is going to be not just the best edition of WFRP ever, but the best roleplaying game ever made.  As a side note, I'll be happy to take any 1st or 2nd edition materials all you WFRP fans will be discarding as you switch to the new gold standard.  You know, as a favor to you guys.

Looks beautiful!  I hope its fun.

And it looks like a game, not a college textbook!

Maybe it will even interest people who like to play games.

I am sure people will queue up just to get rid of their Realms of Chaos I-II books. That's my hope, anyway.

To be fair the price on those has already dropped, the going price is only a single arm, testicle and leg now.

DeadUematsu

Looks like a good RPG, but I doubt it will dethrone WHQ as the best WH RPG.

I hope the guy who stole my copy of Lost and Damned enjoyed it.
