This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A question for both of you:  Are you using minis?

My group does, and it seems to fix a lot of perceived issues.

The WFRP2e game I play in does (we have played though Paths of the Damned and Doomstones).

I didn't when running Thousand Thrones as I wanted a different feel.

Both games were great, though combat ran quicker in the later, mostly as a lot less fights were to the total annihilation of one side.

36 (30-40) sessions is a good length for me, especially for fortnightly sessions. It has a sense of continuity and scale but is also focussed and finite.

Congratulations on completing it.

We are about to finish Chapter 5 tomorrow night.  It has taken awhile to get here due to inserting individual PC side quests.

Quite like the sound of your chapter 6 re-write...
