Some are formatted, including the 1st edition core book, interestingly.

It is an outstanding deal.

It's brilliant considering what you get. WFRP 2e is a good set of rules. Better than the first's if I'm being honest. And all those 2e sourcebooks is insane considering the price they were on Drive-thru (nearly $25a pop!).

Most of the WH2 books on DTRPG are about half that, but even taking that into consideration the whole Humble Bundle's still more than 95% off.

And the $1 tier is even better.

It may end up yet as the 4th edition being the definitive one.

2E was, for me, the leading fantasy RPG in it's own publishing timeline. Better than D&D in the early 2000s, due to the integrated nature of its systems and setting, the concise simplicity of those systems and the sheer fun of the setting. 1st edition was also fun, but the system was inconsistent and unrefined. It did boast the Enemy Within Campaign, however, which remains one of the best campaigns ever written and very much a formative roleplaying experience of mine.

Are they? Sorry, my bad.

When I bought them, before they were taken off Drivethru, they were all really expensive. I'd say with the release of 4e C7 have put them down. But yeah, a fantastic deal. I still bought it from HB because I wanted 1e in pdf and it was for a good cause.

Absolutely, for me as well... I just prefer 1e's background. But when I ran The Enemy Within I used 2e. It was a blast!

It will be interesting to see what C7 will do when it's finally released. If anyone can pull it off they could. And from what people have said on their forums, it seems to be going in the right direction. But who knows...

The Enemy Within is one of the best... I'm not too mad on the last part. So, I used the alternative remake that was going around (I think quite a few people did as well).

They're here.

And the only reason I commented is because DTRPG has a bad habit of listing the regular price of a PDF as a sale price. 99% of the time, the [strike]crossed-out[/strike] price is the cost of an entirely different product (the print version), while the red "sale" price isn't a sale, it's just what they charge for the PDF. The "normal" price of many of the WH2 PDFs is roughly $25, but that's a fake price.

Voros

I'm not a fan of the 2e art style but I decided the 1e and 2e rulebooks and C7 coupon were too good to pass up plus it's for charity.

Quote from: Skarg;993445What are the differences between 1e and 2e?

Not much really, there are some changes but the whole is largely interchangeable. Some tinkering with the stat lines etc.

The real difference is the setting being tied to the fluff of WFB rather than the grim dark of WFRP. For me I'd go 1st with my own world I've been tinkering with for a while.

The magic system is pretty different too.

I tend to like the 2nd edition mechanics better but still use 1st edition as a campaign resource.
