This is a pretty good public domain collection of art depicting Greek myths. They are from a children's book back in the 19th century. The illustrations are by Walter Crane. The higher quality images available for each are about 1150 x 1700.

Here are just the illustrations pulled from the book and cropped. They are 1150x1700 also. It might be easier to use these, though you may be able to crop and enhance them better from the original scan directly from the old book.

There is a lot of good stuff in the Wikimedia Commons and each image has a handy license section so you can see the exact license terms.
