This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

True20 a free download from Green Ronin today
« on: June 29, 2007, 08:26:16 AM »
Since the free RPG Day downloads from Green Ronin had probs, they have been putting pdf's on sale and re-offering the free downloads.  Today they are offering the pdf of True20 Adventure Roleplaying for free download.  So if you want to have a legal copy on your computer, or just want to see what the deal is with this ruleset that the Pundit loves so much, snag it. (the dload is 16-17mb if I saw right) http://true20.com/
"Dr.Who and CoC are, on the level of what the characters in it do, unbelievably freaking similar. The main difference is that in Dr. Who, Nyarlathotep is on your side, in the form of the Doctor."
-RPGPundit, discovering how BRP could be perfect for a DR Who campaign.

Take care Nothingland. You were always one of the most ridiculously good-looking sites on the internets, and the web too. I'll miss you.  -"Derek Zoolander MD" at a site long gone.

I have glanced over it and it looks interesting.  When I have time I will read it stright through.

I really Dislike D20 but True20 could change my opinion of D20.

Maybe

One of the WoTC Freelancers who wrote for several D20 Modern books has pretty much switched over to True20 for his modern gaming if I remember right.

Any special reason why they did that?

He preferred the speed/flow if I remember, and d20 modern hasn't been getting all that much for support overall.

Shit Jesus Fuck! I sure wish I had seen this earlier; it's too late now. :(

Guess I'll just go back to hoping I win my local game store's raffle, take Star Wars Saga as the prize, and adapt it for everything. :D

Peace,
-Joel
