 Attack/Defense Modes: Nil
The gelatineux hexahedron is one of the scavengers most uncommon in dungeons.
Its regular hexahedron form is ideal for cleaning all living organisms, as well as
carrion, metals and softer gem stones from the floor and walls of underground
passageways. Gelatineux hexahedrons are almost totally transparent and are VERY difficult to see (thus surprise on 1-5). As these monsters travel about
they sweep up gems which are "indigestible" to them. Such as diamonds and
corundum based gems. Such material will remain in the body of a gelatineux hexahedron for several weeks before being cast out (thus deposited somewhere on the floor). If a gelatineux hexahedron touches (hits) an opponent, a saving throw versus paralyzation must be made, or the creature touched is anesthetized for 8-
24 melee rounds. The hexahedron then surrounds the victim, secretes digestive
fluids, and digests a meal. Damage caused to opponents is due to the
digestive secretions. Hexahedrons can sense heat (much like a pit viper) out to 120'.  They use this sense to zero in on living prey.  Gelatineux hexahedrons can be hit by all forms of weapons, and attacks by fire have normal effects. Cold will have no effect on these monsters unless they fail their saving throw, in which case they are slowed 50% and do only 2-8 hit points of damage. Electricity, fear, holds, paralyzation, polymorph, and sleep based attacks have no effect on gelatineux hexahedrons.

The Gelatinous Duohedron is the most dangerous.
