This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ok, this thread is closed. Too many dishonest asshole trolls on this site.

Stop doing this, where you change the title and first post and essentially create empty threads.

If you repeat this, I will assume you are here to spam the front page, and I will ban you. Understood?

Thanks for the info, Omega! So it's like one of those killer dungeons where creative thinking is rewarded and reasonable levels of optimization is expected. Or is it more like Tournament Dungeons like jwhere Tomb of Horrors originated from?

The advice was that a 40 point build was a good range if you wanted to go down deep. Otherwise the GM was advised to block off levels 4 to 6 and have the bandit lord be the end boss. Doable for a novice group with some losses along the way. Starter TFT/ITL characters are 32 points. A human is 8 STR, 8 DEX 8 INT and +8 extra points to allocate. An elf is 6/10/8 +8, a goblin is 6/8/10 +6, Halfling is 4/12/8 +6 and a Centaur 14/10/8 +2 as a few examples.

So 8 points and likely better gear is a sufficient difference that delving this adventure past level 3 is, or is not possible. Quick glance and more than one of the foes on level 5 has 42 points and others have 40 or so. The leader on level 6 has 60 points and their lieutenant has 52 points. First encounter is with 2 guards averaging around 36 points each as example of what the party could meet before even entering the lair.

Level 4 is packed with a plethora of traps, a number of which can do a fair amount of harm, and pretty much no foes.

I have never been able to determine just how many adventurers are supposed to be in a party. Seems like a minimum of 2 considering the possibility of facing more than one foe.
