This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: grubmanI played Star Ace a bit, but, prefered Star Frontiers in the end.  I wrote a monster review of the entire Star Ace game line at RPGnet if you want to know a little about every product (laced with my opinion of course).

Hey, grubby!  Glad you're still around!  I was afraid the locals had spooked you, what with the unsettling folds of skin on their necks and the unblinking eyes and all.

Well they had...but RPGnet was down this morning so I figured I'd give it another try. :)  Hopefully I can go another half dozen posts before ticking someone off again. ;)

Quote from: jrientsDidn't Pacesetter do that experimental Sandman game?
Sandman: Map of Halaal, yes. As I understand it, the game was so experimental that no one still has any idea what it was really about.
Previously known by the name of "GrimGent".

From what I understand it was really well done...but Paceseeter went out of Business before the "campaign" was finished.  It's basicly the first part of a multi part mystery that no one knows the full story of (including the GM).

Meh, don't pay no never-mind to the  knuckle-draggers and the spit-fires (and ESPECIALLY the masturbating chimpanzee).  You got Jeff and me to cover your six.

Yeah, hang around. If you don't piss someone off from time to time, you're not doing it right. You should know that, being a TBP veteran. :keke:

Map of meat slaughtered in accordance with the dietary rules of the Koran?  I know there's an extra A, but still that name strikes me oddly.

Shame it never got developed though, Pacesetter had a real feel for producing fun games that made for good play, skills sadly not as common as they could be.

I have seriously considered using Map of Halaal as the opening adventure in a Lords of Creation campaign.  Both games are effed up in similar ways.  They'd go together like horseshoes and novocaine.
