Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

My reasons are actually much more practical.  My house is quite small I don't have a studio. I'd rather not be streaming and have the family walking by in the background. YouTube crowns on children in videos that aren't designed for them and knowing what I know I would rather not have people knowing what my daughter looks like.

Plus I'm Scottish and Dutch. I'm too cheap to buy a camera
Those are also perfectly respectable reasons and I won't disagree.

Considering the tendency of certain people to go batshit fucking insane... yeah. Point conceded.

Greetings!

*Laughing* Exactly, my friend! So true!

You know, while at first glance not videoing your face might seem kind of unusual or weird, it isn't really. It does seem to come down entirely to individual choice and preferences. Obscurities in Miniature--a miniature review/discussion channel, hosted by High Lord Tamerlane--he doesn't do videos of his face, either. Just his voice, and his hands. Another miniature/crafting channel has a single photo shot of the host, named Matt, but otherwise his videos are all just his voice and hands.

Black Magic Craft, though, he is always in his videos, front and center. So, yeah, each person has their own preferences and style. They all seem to be generally successful and more importantly, enjoying what they are doing. Whether a channel has 5000 members, 50,000 members, or 500,000 members, that seems to be the most important factor--does the host enjoy doing their program?

Another crazy example, look at Salty Cracker. *Laughing* He's funny, and absolutely brilliant. He shows himself routinely in his videos, though, I don't think Salty Cracker is an ugly or unappealing guy by any means, but...well, he is certainly simple, and rustic in his appearance. Which, I also think, actually adds to his charm and appeal. He's a normal man. Not everyone needs to look like a Hollywood actor.

Joker, of Better Bachelor, often jokes that he has a voice for television and a face for radio. ;D He's funny too, but also a normal looking fellow.

I think that Professor Dungeon Master of Dungeoncraft is fantastic. I think though certainly a fan favourite is the presence of "Deathbringer"--a Chaos Warrior Miniature that just talks. Yeah, a miniature that talks is a major part of the show. ;D

DEAATHBRINGER for the win! ;D
