This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This will probably get me tossed out...

But I LOVE Pathfinder RPG. :P I like the fact Paizo actually shows us that YES they playtest a system! It might not be the way I'd do something (in terms of some stuff for Ultimate Combat and a little of Ultimate Magic) but at least I know when I get a hardcover Pathfinder RPG 'core rule book' it's not been just kid gloved to death or kept in a wet spot between a designer's knees.

Any way. That followed by the fact I love the APs...just make me glad I play/run Pathfinder more than 4th edition. (Plus so far I feel I do more with my characters than I do in 4th edition.)

eehh. Why would this get anyone tossed out? Good for you that your Pathfinder gaming is dandy, but if you wanna provoke you really need to try harder. This is after all Spar... The Rpgsite!

Were you drugged?

Welcome to the last 7 years of my life...

I don't care for Pathfinder though, or 3.5; nothing wrong with liking them though. Just not my thing.

If you need to provoke controversy, try this post over at The Gaming Den. They HATE pathfinder over there because their playtesting is ass... among other things...
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Like say FATAL has a better mechanic resolution system than 4ed?

:p

(this is about the best attempt at trolling I can manage, without getting personal...)
Quote from: dragoner;776244Mechanical character builds remind me of something like picking the shoe in monopoly, it isn\'t what I play rpg\'s for.

Nightfall

Considering I'm not sure how FATAL works...and that I like the resolutions in Pathfinder RPG more than 4th edition, I don't know what else to say.

Also I was sleep deprived for like...4-5 years in my life. But then I changed jobs. :P :)

Gaming Den eh?

Seanchai,

I take it I offended you then? Yay!!!

For me, Pathfinder serves its purpose wonderfully.  It keeps 3e-only players away from my 4e and OD&D games allowing us to have a great time.

I actually couldn't care if Pathfinder outsells 4e, or ever other RPG I enjoy.   OD&D has been outsold by everything else for decades and that has never affected my ability to run the game.
