This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are you playing a Gonzo fantasy or Weird Fantasy OSR or D&D campaign?

Want to create new weird sentient humanoids, either as hostiles or even as new character races?

Well, have I got something for you!

Clocking in at 40 pages, RPGPundit Presents #85: Weird Gonzo Race Generator is the biggest RPGPundit Presents issue yet!

In it, you get a complete guide full of random tables and detailed descriptions for creating a wide variety of strange fantasy races, including 25 different base species types (including things like humanoids, anthropomorphs, plantmen, energy beings, tentacle-creatures and much more) with detailed sub-types and  special powers and variations for each. Also, rules and tables for generating favored and unfavored ability scores, hit dice, HD/level ranges, special powers and vulnerabilities, favored weapons and armor, and more. You can use this generator over and over again, and you'll never get the same type twice!

If you want to make interesting new races for your weird-fantasy game that isn't just another type of elf or orc, this is the product for you!

Colour me disappoint. I was expecting some rules for wacky chariot races with tricked out chariots and a mumbling dog.

That would probably fit in well with a game that uses material from Acquisitions Incorporated to get sponsors for their race team.

I think that this was quite a fun little pdf.  It gave me a few ideas and it was fun to roll up random races to see what kind of crazyness the dice come up with.
