This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Playing: Nothing

Running: D&D 4e

Planning: Lots of stuff that will never get played; the one that might would be something 40K Rogue Trader-ish (though I'm having a hard time convincing myself to use FFG's rules).
Now Prepping: One-shot adventures for Coriolis, RuneQuest (classic), Numenera, 7th Sea 2nd edition, and Adventures in Middle-Earth.

Recently Ended: Palladium Fantasy - Warlords of the Wastelands: A fantasy campaign beginning in the Baalgor Wastelands, where characters emerge from the oppressive kingdom of the giants. Read about it here.

Tipsy

Running: Mongoose RuneQuest II

Playing: At being a good Dad with my four-month-old son

Planning: Games I will probably never run. Toying with Eclipse Phase and/or Interface Zero ideas at the moment...

Metal Earth screams PLAY ME!  Reading through your blog entries inspired me to create a similar setting of my own.  We ran our fist session of it last night using a mix of Labyrinth Lord and Mutant Future.  Fun times.

Bobloblah

Playing: Heavily houseruled D&D 3.5 campaign
Running: Pathfinder campaign
Planning: D&D 3.5 Iron Kingdoms campaign, Bughunters campaign, ICONS one-shot

The game I'm playing in is actually an agglomeration of optional rules (as opposed to pure houserules) from many, many supplements, and is taking place in the Northern Forgotten Realms before the Witch King established himself in Vaasa.  First time I've played in ages.

The Pathfinder campaign is a hack of some mediocre published modules I mashed together into a campaign arc.

The D&D 3.5 campaign is going to start with a modified version of the published Witchfire Trilogy, and then branch out from there, depending on where the party's interests take them.

We'll see if I can convince my players to go for Bughunters (yes, the old TSR "Amazing Engine" game).  A couple will be all over it, but two others might not be so into it. I haven't run it for years, and I'm sure the rules may not hold up the greatest, but I have so many ideas for the setting.

Lastly, I really want to try and get in an ICONS one-shot adventure. I like the look of the game (the game itself, not the graphical presentation, although that's not bad, either), and I haven't played or run a supers game for about a decade. Based on a couple of read-throughs, I can see ICONS replacing FASERIP Marvel in my top list of games, but we'll see how it actually plays at the table.
Best,
Bobloblah

EDIT: What system for Interface Zero? SavWo, True 20?

Thank you sir!

Savage Worlds. I'm not a big True or D20 fan.

I'm drawn to Eclipse Phase, but its hurtfully detailed point-buy character creation system is too much to ask of me and my players at this stage of the game.

So, I'm starting to think that the fairly loosey-goosey rules of Savage Worlds married to Interface Zero might be just what I'm looking for. At least that's what the reviews are leading me to believe.

I'd love to run Bloodsucker: The Angst Xpress if there are any takers.

You don't necessarily need the books and I can even do pregens if needed.

Quote from: Simlasa;417264It's a game for my ex-girlfriend and her nephew/nieces... so far it's mostly involved lots of home decorating, tea-parties, vegetable patch raiding and one spot of ultra-violence regarding a fox from the next valley over.
Totally seat-of-the-pants based on the books... with a few bits of fairy tales and Winnie the Pooh tossed in.

that sounds incredibly awesome, actually. ;)  good stuff.

i wrote the Dead; you can get it for free here.

Reckall

Running: D&D 3.5, the last and final part of my 12 years campaign (started with AD&D 2ed)

Playing: Nothing, no other DMs around at the moment. I would like to try "Don't Rest Your Head" with a background inspired by "Silent Hill"

Planning: Call of Cthulhu. A mega-campaign: either the new "Masks of Nyarlathotep" or "Beyond the Mountains of Madness".

Dreaming: a game based on one of those "cuty faries" comic book/shows, but played like a Jason Bourne movie - violence et. al.
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.
