Hello,

Not too sore if it has been mentioned here before.

But if you're looking for a very good dark and quirky setting then this is well worth a shot. A bit like if Lovecraft met WFRP and they decided to settle down in middle England.

Great review here from Red Dice Diaries.

Yeah, Midderlands is great. I also got The Midderlands Expanded, The Midderlands: Rivers and Lakes and the Midderlands and Haven Isles maps.

I haven't looked at this, but I heard some people think it matches well with Dark Albion or Lion & Dragon.

I haven't looked at Dark Albion, but from what I read Midderlands seems a little more light-hearted and quirky and less "historical or medieval authentic". It also retains a dark touch, though. I really like it.

I backed it and got both hardbacks. Quality from top to bottom and very remiscient of when White Dwarf was great.

It's probably the best take on Fantasy England I have ever read.

It also dovetails with Dolmenwood (easter egg in there).

I hired Glynn to make some maps for a setting I've been working on. He's the real deal. Super cool, great to work with and MEGA talented.

Midderlands is the bomb, and along with the very good Dolmenwood, populate my L&D/Dark Albion not-Britain as slightly extra-planar places that can be found, but aren't on any map.
Running: RC D&D, 5e D&D, Delta Green

Is it available as a PDF? I missed the Kickstarter for this but have seen the map, which looks very good.

Yes, you can get PDFs.  You can also still get hardcopies direct from the publisher, which are super duper nice.
