I recently went all in and bought Kids on Bikes and all the supplements and just started reading it last night but read some reviews that the game has some gaps and is missing key parts of the rules.  I am not sure how fair this is since I have not finished reading it yet but it got me once again looking at the alternatives out there and from my research Dark Places & Demogorgons looked very promising.

My question to you is which Stranger Things clone would you choose to run a campaign directly influenced by Stranger Things?

Kids on Bikes
Dark Places & Demogorgons
Tales From the Loop
Stranger Stuff
Bubblegumshoe
ReMemorex
Little Fears

A great question, and one that I am wrestling with right now. These are the ones I have some familarity with:

Dark Places & Demogorgons
Tales From the Loop
Of the three, I'm leaning towards Tales from the Loop because I like the mechanics and the overall feel of the game best. However, Kids on Bikes has rules for supernatural NPCs and my wife is a "magic only" gamer so that's something to ponder. I downloaded Dark Places & Demogorgons but honestly haven't done much with it -- seems like a fine system.

I'm not sure if that helps much. I think my plan will be to base a campaign on TftL and try to shoe-horn in some supernatural rules.

We just had a thread on this topic last month even with a very similar title.

That said, I'd personally go with Gurps or WoD:Innocents.
