He was okay until I learned about paid reviews.

I've made about four or five videos that were paid for to help promote someone's Kickstarter. In each of those cases, I clearly state that the video is sponsored at the beginning, so it's not like it's some sort of secret. However, I only make one of those videos if I like the product already. I turn down kickstarter promotions all the time because I don't like the product.

The rest of my reviews (of which I've made hundreds) are not sponsored by the product's authors.

The amount of hell you got on these boards for posting about Shadowdark was Legendary.  We will see who comes out of the woodwork to decry you for said commission.  I personally will grab a dumptruck full of popcorn to await the keyboard warriors utter silent treatment.
