Back when I was a teenager and had more time I'd write short little adventures with St. Patrick's Day and/or Fey themes.  This got me to thinking about what some of your favorite such adventures might be?

Now, I tend to do what I'm doing today, which is go out and down some Guinness while watching the NCAA tournament with friends.

But I still enjoy the fey-themed adventure now & again.

St.Patrick is associated with Fey? They never mentioned this in the Catholic school I attended.

Well, if you really want to do Saint Patrick it should be an adventure to help a cleric clear out an island of Yuan-ti cultists.

If it's Irish and fun then it's good.  :)

I've written two Halloween adventures and a Thanksgiving adventure, but never a St Patrick's Day adventure.  I did run both "The Land Beyond the Magic Mirror" and "Dungeonland" as one shots after converting them to 5e.  Both of them have a dangerous trickster theme and fit well in a Fey setting.

If I had to write a St Patrick's Day adventure it would be something like this:

The PCs are merchant marines on a trade vessel to the Emerald Isle, transporting seasoning and cattle.  Over the years it's been difficult to find any meats at all, and now it's nearly impossible.  The merchants pay the PCs very little and the high priest of the Island has a better offer.  A cult has grown in power and influence, and the people are suffering.  He offers them the location to a stash of gold in exchange for ridding the island of the cult.  The carnivorous cult has taken all of the cows, leaving none for the people who are starving.

Synopsis: the PCs must rid the Emerald Isle of a Yuan Ti snake cult in exchange for the location of a Leprechaun who has a pot of gold they can steal.  When the PCs prevail the High Priest is canonized as a saint, takes all of the credit, and the people celebrate with corned beef.

I'd probably do something like a few Fey changelings are inserted into a small hamlet. The residents are being driven out of their minds as the changelings are creating mayhem.

Can anyone recommend good, preferably scholarly, material on Fey folklore? I'd be interested in European/Arabic but honestly most of the stuff I have is literary material from Shakespeare and some mythological reference stuff. I'm looking for something modern and comprehensive.
