The bumbling sjws attack Old School D&D, calling for the destruction of the OSR and the birth of a new "woke" design movement called "#Sworddream" ... with HILARIOUS results. I couldn't stop laughing!

Sworddream? More like #soydream

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

I love how they try it to be all natural, like it's spontaneous idea and was received very well, but some conversations are obviously a set up and look like dialogues from this teleshopping bs:

- Candy, aren't you somtimes tired of this toxic gamers that play and make OSR game without politics?
- Oh yes Mike, there is a lot of white supremacist there and they don't care about non cis-gender characters

*ominous music, black and white video of fat, white nerds with pimples sitting in toxic gaming store playing OSR games, the black girl walks nearby, takes a peek through the dirty window and they all cower under table, afraid she might speak to them*

- Now Candy then it seems I've got something for you! A game not about filthy gaming, but about our identity politics and inclusion! Sworddrream!
- Oh my, Mike, is this a set of DIY rules ready to answer my needs?
- Yes, Candy, it's full of content to create your own games but in inclusive community in which you don't have to constantly hear opinions different than your own!
- Mike, my life is gonna be so better now, I waited for this my entire life!

If you look at some dialogues on twitter, they're obviously scripted befoerhand, phoniness is obvious. It's cringy and a bit sad. Some of them are surely talented people, they could do interesting games and add value to the hobby, instead they will focus on politics and, obviously, fail miserably.

NPCs always need to be scripted before they are able to communicate.

The most offensive thing about this is Pundit culturally appropriating Asian cooking. What a bigot!

Oh, and that ridiculous acronym. Totally awful.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

Oh, it's much worse.

He's culturally appropriating Asian cooking while also speaking English in a LatinX country, and is therefore a culturally appropriating imperialist!

Anyway, this is all the same horseshit we've seen before. I hope they all embrace each other and go live in a hippie commune somewhere in Oregon...

My favorite part of the comment threads on Twitter is the stuff like "what about games with no combat rules? what about games with non-traditional stats, like for emotions? etc. etc. etc." . . . like they just happened to completely miss things from the past 20 years like The Forge and Story-Games.com and whatnot. You know, places and movements that have been around a long time already in which that kind of experimental stuff is par for the course.

"Why can't I have my obviously-not-inspired-by-oldschool things and still be considered part of the OSR? *wailing and gnashing of teeth*" Um . . . because words mean things. Suck it up, buttercup. And brush up on your not-too-distant gaming history(~1999 onwards, to be specific) while you're at it. Your questions show so much ignorance that it boggles the mind.

They already have, it's called Portland and it's the largest city in the state.

I miss the days when Oregon was home to cowboys, lumberjacks, and Militia Movement autists.

Antifa is basically the 90's Militia Movement but left-wing punk rockers with bike locks and baseball bats instead of right-wing Evangelicals with guns and pipe bombs, and Antifa is loved by the mainstream left, while even the Christian Theoconservatives denounced the Militia Movement.

We're talking about people who routinely feel "unsafe" and "excluded" any time someone so much as lets it be known that they have a different opinion(on philosophy, science, politics, religion, psychology, etc.), even if no danger has been made known or any attempt to actually exclude them has been made. They critically failed that roll ages ago.
