I'd like to buy a hardcopy of the game, 'cos I don't use pdfs at the gaming table and I think the game sounds great. Sure, I could print a pdf and bind it myself but that's not quite the same as having a 'real' book IMO. However if I'm buying a POD hardcopy, I think it can still be useful to have a pdf for creating handouts, or to skim through while waiting on the hardcopy to arrive. I've actually come to expect a complementary pdf when buying a POD hardcopy and, in my experience, this has become the industry standard; I could maybe stomach paying a slightly higher price for a pdf/POD bundle than for the hardcopy alone.

Trouble is, Supers RED doesn't have any discounts in the pricing  structure. Buying a hardcopy + pdf bundle costs just the same as the two  versions separately. As a rule of thumb for me, full price pdf + full price hardcopy = no purchase.

If there's no change, I suppose I'm hoping there'll be a sale at some point...

A sale sounds like a great idea.  How about, starting this Friday, we put the PDF and the Prints together on sale for a week.  Buy the Dead Tree Copy and get the digi-copy for free.  We'll keep the sale going right through until the American Holiday.

Man, this is some good stuff so far. I'll have to do a recap or review, but I've noticed a few big positives so far:


-Some nice clean-up of some things that were lacking, and cleaning up the core resolution mechanic.
-It looks like damage/combat has been simplified a bit.
-Digging the Hazard rules. Going to make it very easy to create a bursting dam or tidal wave to challenge the heroes, too.
-Rules for assisting/teaming up with another super to perform an action.
-More Judge stuff overall on how to deal with smashing stuff, dying, etc.
-Vehicles and bases! Yes!

Looks really good so far. I probably won't get my print copy until another week or two, but it looks like a really nice job has been done with this. Building supers still looks as easy as the original edition, which is a big thumbs-up from me, too.
