...That's kinda awesome and kinda stupid.

that is not really an accurate depiction of what it is about according to the author on rpgnet. it is more case of playing a fallen god who gets kicked out of 'heaven' and stripped of their powers. you then travel the mortal universe, righting wrongs to redeem yourself and return home.

I was puzzled about post-humanism etc.
until I tried it, and I found out:

It is really, really about having a convoluted reason for having furries extravaganzas. 'nuff said.

Quote from: Spinachcat;471691I hope the game has Orcs and Encumbrance rules.

It used Open D6, so it will have all the things that WEG Star Wars had, or any other D6 game such as D6 Fantasy.

Huh? Explain! That is in no way hinted at by the cover or the blurb, so you have to tell us about this appalling development!

Sounds like Kult in spaaaaace! (now with Voudoun jargon instead of Kabbalah!)

Could be fun. Might give it a whirl. The setting could be easily duplicated for an In Nomine in space redemption run. Or possibly Kult, with a rather elitist bent that only PC humans have potential for redemption.

As long as the corebook has a clean and functional system, and the setting material tones down that self-congratulatory thesaurus-encumbered writing style, then this could be a pleasant diversion.
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Ghost Whistler

I'm afraid I can't get interested in this at all.
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Quote from: Spinachcat;471691Sounds good to me. Where is our relaunch of Star Frontiers??? It seems so weird that game never got a second chance.

Some of the races made it into D20 Modern's 'D20 Future' supplement, apparently.  Yazirians became Hadozee and made it as far as 3.5's Stormwrack (via Spelljammer). Not surprising it didn't reappear though, I guess lots of TSR games never got remade.
