Any rules you like. Since Ringworld is just a setting.

I had thought of Cepheus, think I'll see if I can stat a few species fast. After all the PDF is legal and free.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

Yeah, if you'e a Traveller fan, it'd be worth putting the work into it.
It's still worth getting the Ringworld RPG though, as it has so much setting information.

Quote from: GeekyBugle;1106924Nice, it's a d100 based game yes? Do you need any other dice?

Yes. It's mostly d100 for skill rolls, but in some places like damage and random effects it uses d4, d6, d8, d10, and d20.

'2d20, 1d8, and 2d6 are all the dice necessary for play.'

I went ahead and downloaded it myself, since I haven't looked at it in about 25 years either :)

They do throw in some d20 rolls just for shits & giggles I guess. Sadly the d12 was left high and dry, as usual :( :(

And even owning all the novels, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Thanks again, reading it as we speak

One more thing before my lunch break is over. The Ringworld RPG came out when there were only two Ringworld books out. There have been three more published since then and roughly twenty books expanding Known Space since then. So there is plenty of background material to draw from. There was also an article with the stats for Louis Wu, Speaker to Animals, and Nessus (I have a PDF of the article at home).
"Meh."

2D20 for this game meant two 20-sided dice numbered 0-9 twice on them. They were used a lot as percentile dice.

Louis Wu and his motley crew?

So those can be exchanged by 1d20 and the usual 2d10.

Just by d10 and/or percentile dice. The d10 was not a common thing yet back then. And percentile dice did not exist cheaply.

So the system doesn't use a d20?
