Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: AkrasiaYou're no longer an expatriate?
If he's now officially Uruguayan (don't know if he is or not, just speculating here) then he might consider his former Canadian-ness unimportant in the face of his current Uruguayan-ness.  If you follow, which I'm not sure you will, since I seem to be somewhat incoherent at the moment.

Badly worded on my part; just meant to say I was "originally from canada". I have Uruguayan citizenship now, but I also maintain my Canadian citizenship.

I think that I follow you, but I don't think that you can ever stop being an expatratriate, no matter how much you would like to, or hard you try.  One can become an ex-citizen, but you're from where you're from.  Even if that's Canada.

Yes ... I am a pedant.    :snooty:

when I first travelled to Uruguay, it was as a tourist. I fell in love with the country; I decided to stay.
Economically, its positive for me here; with the same income I had in Canada I can live a much higher class of lifestyle, as the prices here on things like rent, clothes, and food are far cheaper.

I also love the culture, the people, the music, the food, and the.. well, the sense of freedom and openness that this country has compared to the stifling nature of Canadian society.

Edit: And yes, the weather is nicer here.
