This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So What's Everyone Playing These Days?

I feel ya, brother.

Boot Hill, GangBusters and Mercenaries, Spies, and Private Eyes all come to mind.

Quote from: Nihilistic Mind;962833Damn, son! Is that a game every other day? Awesome!

I think I managed a game a day one week. :D

This week I ran/played/will run

Saturday - 5e online
Sunday - 5e tabletop
Monday - no 4e game, (a) it was cancelled & (b) I had thought I had a dinner date, which also got cancelled. :(
Tuesday - Classic D&D Hollow World
Wednesday - 5e online
Thursday - I'm running 4e today
Friday - I'm running Classic D&D

After that I'm running 5e online Saturday & 5e tabletop Sunday, expect to play 4e Monday, GM Classic Tuesday, GM 5e Wednesday, GM 4e Thursday (unless the dinner date reschedules and I'm feeling generous...)
Then I'm on vacation. :)

(It probably helps I don't watch TV).

My main campaign at the moment is Hackmaster 5E in the Kingdoms of Kalamar setting. The group is edging towards 10th level after nearly two years of play, and are likely to be moving on from Frandor's Keep in the near future, on the trail of a treasure map acquired by one of the PCs.

I'm also running some Blades in the Dark on alternate weekends for three players from the main Hackmaster group. We managed three sessions, but there has been a bit of a hiatus since then due to scheduling issues.

My next game was going to be Mythras, then I shifted my interest to Godbound, but now it looks like it might be Rolemaster. That won't be for another year or more, though.

Quote from: under_score;963039I'm running a weekly DCC game on Roll20.  Homebrew setting based on lots of Irish mythology.

Prepping for a Castles & Crusades game.  I gave it a previous try, but abandoned it pretty quickly, and declared the Codex of Aihrde the most boring thing I've ever read.  Lately I've been rereading the Umbrage Saga though and compiling notes on all 6 modules, thinking it'd be a fantastic sandbox campaign to run.  Maybe I can work in a biweekly game of it soon.

I'm also running a monthly DCC game, stringing together published modules, at a KC gameshop.  Once you're settled in the area, let me know if you're looking for a group.

Thanks for the invite!

Well, Dawn Patrol is shelved for the nonce. I need to do more reading than Sagittarius Rising before I'd feel competent enough to run more than a few games in that setting. But mainly because between a guy I've known and played with off and on for about 30 years, a guy I met via a bulletin board at a game store a few years back, a girl he works with whose pants he's trying to get into and who wants to try roleplaying , and a couple of interested parties located via Meetup, Flashing Blades may yet be pulled off. So I'm rereading The Three Musketeers, digging through France in the Age of Louis XIII and Richelieu (Victor-L. Tapié), and for the first time will read Twenty Years After, The Vicomte de Bragelonne, Louise de La Valliere, and The Man in the Iron Mask, so at least I think I will be able to establish the right sort of feel even if historical accuracy is somewhat off. Also I need to make some notes on the rules and run some practice fights.

I envy you your plentiful gaming opportunities - but not as much as I envy you the energy to actually make use of all of them.
Add me to the ranks of people who have stopped posting here because they can\'t stand the RPGPundit. It\'s not even his actual opinions, though I strongly disagree with just about all of them. It\'s the psychotic frothing rage with which he holds them. If he ever goes postal and beats someone to death with a dice bag, I don\'t want to be listed among his known associates, is what I\'m saying.

If you don't mind games designed in the current century, there is my old In Harm's Way: Aces In Spades game. some weird people liked it.

You should do an In Harm's Way and Starcluster Bundles of Holding.

Well some of those games are just 2-3 hours text chat online, Tuesday is just an hour or so solo tabletop game with my son. The Thursday Friday & Sunday games are full tabletop games of 3 or 4 hours though.

My Monday dinner date just got rescheduled to this Monday, so I just let my Monday GM know I can't play (again). Mia better not cancel yet again or I'll have to start giving D&D priority though... :D

Hello, Mr. Krueger! :D

I am not equipped to sell bundles of holding. Some of my games have been in bundles of holding before, but that's not up to me. Thank you for suggesting it though! :P

Bouncing between video game design and tabletop campaign planning like a maniac. Really doing my head in.

D&D 5e stole my PnP soul when it was in playtesting. Quickly decided it was now my favorite system. But I still have yet to actually play with it. Proves hard to get these things together in a way that'll work for group roleplay dynamics when I only have two friends and am married to one.

Also have put a lot of time into sketching out Demon: The Descent and Numenera campaigns. Have a narrative for the latter that really tickles my fancy, but I still have to get over how distractingly gamey I think cyphers are. How is everything single-use? How does that happen! I understand the mechanical reason, it's beautiful and I agree with it wholeheartedly, but from an in-universe standpoint how the fuck...
