This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So What's Everyone Playing These Days?

Have just finished a short campaign set in Ancient Egypt using Barbarians of Lemuria. Game was 30% real history, 30% pulp, 30% a detective/spy story and 10% Lovecraft. Planning a few one-shots (still using BoL), one on a pulpy John Carter influenced Mars, one a Torchwood game set in WW2, and possibly something else... my players are eager to return to Thebes, but I need a break from that.

I just stopped running Mutant Chronicles because I've grown to hate the system, the needless crunch, and the god awful rulebook.

I'll suck AD&D's or S&W Whitebox's cock, if they'll take me back for a campaign or two.

That sounds like an awesome good time.
Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).

Wrapping up 5e version of Forge of Fury. About to start on 5e Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, which will be interesting, since one of the players went through it many years ago. We'll see how much he recalls.

My character in Exalted 3 recently became a Solar, playing an unorthodox xia in Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate, and a Sword-Bearer in the Mythras campaign that features sentient swords, and no other magic:p.

I'm also running a couple of games, but these are on hold. I'm taking a rest from Refereeing for the time being, after being the primary GM in the group for a couple years;).

I was playing in a weekly The Strange game.  It had a planned ending which we just hit last Saturday after 6 months of play.

Currently I'm playing in a:
weekly Mythic Pathfinder
monthly Anima: Beyond Fantasy
monthly D&D 5e

We're going to do a bunch of 1-shots to figure out what to replace The Strange with and I'm looking to run demos of:
Lamentations of the Flame Princess
The Sprawl
Symbaroum
Mutant: Year Zero
Godbound

quozl

Running a Basic Fantasy game and a Silent Legions game.

Europa Barbarorum II - I'm one of the main developers (I'm a code-monkey, we have historians, linguists, artists and many others). We're gearing up for another major release (version 2.3) soon.

Just released another "test" version earlier this week, it patches over the last big release, 2.2b.

If you like Total War games, and find the Hellenistic/Roman era interesting, then it might be right up your street.
Currently running: Tyche\'s Favourites, a historical ACKS campaign set around Massalia in 300BC.

Huh. I recently repurchased copies of the MC 1st and 2nd ed rulebooks. (And a couple of the sourcebooks.) Care to go into some specifics? (I assumed 1st or 2nd edition, because I'm not up on the current state of MC. Perhaps this is a more recent edition?)
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

I just wrapped up my Savage Worlds Greybox Realms game. Been wanting to do SW Rifts/Sci-Fi... but my players convinced me to do Star Wars. So I'm working on a Sith Empire campaign set in the Old Republic.

I'm talking about the new edition. It has nothing to do with the previous editions rules-wise. MC is helluva setting, but all the official RPGs so far were not up to the task IMHO
