This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Just got my copy of the new 5th Edition HackMaster Player's Handbook in the mail today. First impressions.

- nicely packed - no bent corners!
- very handsome cover that matches up perfectly with the HoB
- crisp fonts, nice paper and roomy layout
- maybe I am spoiled by the DCC rulebook but the art is just sort of meh...

Photos to come...

Have they got the faux-leatherette cover like the 1e reprints or is that just coloration?

If it's the former, then I think that's adorable of them (that or a weird coincidence...probably a coincidence, but with those guys who knows!).

It is indeed a faux leatherette cover like the Hacklopedia of Beasts, but this one is brown instead of green.

Yeah, this game is worth picking up for the covers alone. Beautiful.

Thanks. We're very proud of it. And relieved that sales are brisk (as were pre-orders). We so looking forward to GenCon now.
