I'm setting a Shadowrun 4 game in Europe, and I'm looking for some input on ideas where to start it. So what fun out of the way places could a team of Vampire Hunters, who are members of a secret order look for their ultimate prey in?

You cannot possibly imply that you intend to set your vampire-hunting Shadowrun game anywhere other than Central Europe. ;)
Seriously, though, I'm only vaguely familiar with Shadowrun. But I'd pick myself a neat, scenic, Gothic chunk of Eastern European real estate like Prague, and mayhap even pillage my Vampire: The Masquerade books for ideas.
Also Ken Hite's new GUMSHOE RPG, Night's Dark Agents, has been described as "
Ronin with vampires at the top." Sounds like the sort of game I'd gunning for, with this premise.
Having only ever been to Southern and Western Europe, and not a terribly huge fan of Vampire movies in recent years that had slipped my mind. But now that you bring it up, it sounds damned nice.

Yeah. Transylvania. 'Nuff Said.

Southern Europe does have its charms.
Pillaging Vampire: The Masquerade for ideas: Clanbook: Giovanni had the Premascines, ancient, horrid, ugly-as-fuck and unimaginably powerful elder vampires living in flooded buildings in Venice. Younger vamps were scared shitless of these beings, supposedly so old that human blood didn't cut it anymore; they needed vampire blood to live. Underwater necromancer vampires preying on other vampires! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Or, if you want to keep the Eastern European milieu, mash it up with the legend of the Velya (a Slavic water vampire of sorts).
I suppose you already have Shadows of Europe for SR3? Prague looks like a good place for vampire hunting...
Yeah, I have it. I figure like so many other games I run I'll start by choosing a location, then i'll start pulling it up on Wikipedia, Google Maps and more and start fleshing it out with the source books.
My initial thoughts are starting with 500 point PC's, with little or no caps on gear and skills. Still kicking that idea around though.
