Hello folks!

I'm looking for mapping sheets similar to the ones used in former Traveller editions, especially sector mapsheets and world mapping sheets, editable at best.

I'd be grateful if you would post links to useful mapping resources as well.

What do i need it for?

I'm planning to do a revision of a far future sci-fi setting for Savage Worlds i once started writing...

Thx a lot!

p.s.: I wondered... is there a map collection done "Traveller" style that contains real-world systems data of the Milky Way?

My character sheet was inexistant, and when I hastly made one the GM didn\'t care to have a look at it."

Not of the milky way but if you ignore the social data you can make a custom campaign here. Read the faq to get a text file of various sectors.

Scroll down to "some blank maps".

I've not seen much realworld astronomy projected onto standard Trav maps because of that whole 3D/2D conflict.

Thx a lot, I guess i'll have to use Autorealms and make some maps myself...

*wonders wether there are system generation methods out there that are less complicated&complex than the methods he found in his MegaTraveller rulebooks*

If I need assistance in finding anything Traveller related I tend to ask here:

there are many other great sites and forums, CotI is just a nice one-stop forum.

The system generation method in Classic Traveller is pretty dang simple, but in many cases it leaves the ref to do the heavy lifting in terms of interpretation of weird results.

Cosmographer Pro for Campaign Cartographer is a good tool for creating Traveller maps.  All the macros from CC2 Pro don't work in CC3, but it's still a useful tool.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans
