It's a book by Fantasy Flight Games. (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/llsh.html) Is it any good? What can I expect from it?
Mike Mearls has a writing credit for it, IIRC. I always take that as a good sign.

I'm @ work right now, so I can't tell you exactly what is in it, but it is a Mike Mearls book. All of hos FFG book were excellent.
I don't believe I have ever used it yet, but it seemed like it would be great if I were to run more naval game. It has new classes, Skills, and equipment along with campaign advice, ship combat, ship generationg, and sample ships.
I had some writing in it, so I can't be called unbiased - but I did use it with good success in a nautical-themed D&D mini-campaign I ran. I particularly liked the Drowned Ones (if I'm remembering the name correctly - been awhile) as protagonists. Some imaginative ships and such in there as well.
I picked up the PDF from DTRPG because it was mentioned as a source for the d20 version of 7th Sea. Haven't read through it properly though because that campaign ended when I moved :(
Looks pretty good though.
I've heard good things about it, and own a copy, but haven't done much with seafaring in my games.
That said, Fantasy Flight Games is having one of their big holidays sales again, so you can probably pick this up for $5 and see for yourself.
That's why I'm asking. Living here in Uruguay, shipping costs can add a fair bit to that $5 price.
