Title: Scarred Lands Class books.
Post by: cnath.rm on June 24, 2011, 07:11:47 PM
I snagged the Scarred Lands class books years ago and have recently been looking through them again.  I'm wondering what kind of results people found with some of the options in play.

In particular I've been looking at the Nine Stings Master PrC (short sword focused ftr) from the Ftr and Barb book, and the Angel Blooded (celestial related Sorcerer PrC from the Wiz/Brd/Sor book)

I have those books, but I never used anything from them in actual play.

I thought that the fluff on the classes was pretty good stuff, giving insights into how different parts of the Scarred Lands view certain classes and their activities. Wish I could be of more help. Perhaps Nightfall will chime in with any experiences.

Unfortunately I can't speak to actual game play since I generally was more interesting in RUNNING Scarred Lands than I was playing it.

That being said Angel blooded Pr-class is pretty decent. Master of the Nine Tail Stings...I can't honestly speak to but Angel Blooded did look fine and didn't overtly change much.

If you're asking me which books are my favorite, probably the ones I worked on. (I did a VERY brief stint on a couple spells in Player's Guide to Wizards, Bards and Sorcerers and then a few Pr-classes in Player's Guide to Rangers and Rogues. Plus one monster in CC 3.)

Which parts of Rangers and Rogues offhand? :)

Total agreement, I've been rather tempted to hit players with a magic portal before.... :D

Blood Sea Pirate, Brother of the Crimson Temple and Trapmaster are semi-my creations. (At least the descriptions are. Especially "Bloody Yardarm Thesk".)
