This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Exalted: Suggest Adaptable Adventures To Me

Well, not to me, but to my Exalted GM (who doesn't have an account and doesn't plan to register). I'm the intermediary, here.

So, the GM announced she wants to run an adventure or two where the stuff is pre-written, for a change. Usually, she runs high-improv sandbox games. And yes, I'm playing with someone I taught to run games.
There's no problem with suggesting adventures written for another system. She knows a few systems and can eyeball the opposition's numbers. Obviously, the setting would differ as well, but if it's not too different, that's fine.

What she wants is something with interesting set-up, fun NPCs to interact with (villains are nice), and maybe an interesting event or three. As long as the athmosphere fits Exalted, it would be fine. Lots of "structure" is unnecessary...and given that it's Exalted and I'm playing, railroads would probably fail.

An example of an adventure that "fits" Exalted would be, say, a cyberpunk adventure that has the villains creating a deadly bioweapon plague. A game in the Warhammer universe where you have a vampire committing murders (we don't have that many Investigation charms - though I recently dealt with a similar premise, so don't take that one literally). A Vampire adventure where the Prince has just been killed and created a power vacuum.
Preferably, the above would come with a twist. But basically, if you read an adventure and think "I can run that in Exalted", tell me the name (links would be appreciated, too!)

The problem is, I don't really know many adventures. I usually skip even those in corebooks and setting books that I have purchased.
(But then, I have lots of corebooks and setting books, so if you recommend one of those, I might already have it).
Thus, I decided to turn to the collective minds of forums that I'm a member of.
Give me your recommendations, and tell me why they're good!

Could do the Harrlock Legacy from Dark Heresy 1st edition.  Just make Haarlock a deathlord, imperial ships into ancient first age air vessels, and some minor changes.

I actually ran part of the Harrlock Legacy for a Dragonblooded game I was running, so I know it works. I've also used things from Vornheim for dealing with cities in that same Exalted game. And, I've messed around with Pathfinder's Kingmaker, kicking the NPCs in it up to 11 if they're meant to be foes, as a source for an Exalted sandbox.

There have been two adventures published for Godbound so far (Ten Buried Blades and The Storms of Yizhao), and from the criteria you listed I think they would be a perfect fit for your GM. They're meant to be run in a sandbox-style rather than having a GM railroad a party through a list of scenes. I've just started reading TSoY, but TBB has a cool feature where the main antagonists have multiple motivations that a GM can select from so as to make them more or less sympathetic. It allows for some customization of the story that most adventures don't have right out of the box and is a neat addition.

As far as the setting itself, both take place in Dulimbai which is a fantastical version of China, so it would be extremely easy to drop either adventure into Exalted's Creation with very little effort.

Is that an adventure, or books? Can't tell from Amazon, and for some reason, I can't find it on Drivethru:).

I'm using Godbound's TBB and TSoY as the basis for my current Exalted campaign and it's going very well so far.

If you do not have them already, i think you need glasses.

0.5 seconds on the amazon page tells me it's an adventure.

:p

Yeah Fantasy Flight fuck up and got the license pulled.  Mainly FF wanted to make minis which kinda fucks over Games Workshop who makes the minis.  Cubilitle 7 might get the license.  They already have fantasy and age of sigmar.

You have a point, I was on my phone. It was easy to find on a bigger screen, with my glasses on;).
Still not finding them on Drivethru/RPGNow, though.

I passed that suggestion to the GM.
I also passed her a bunch of adventures for Feng Shui, since I had those at the ready. Martial artists fighting uplifted animals for control over manses and for personal reasons sounds very much Exalted to me, and I know that much just by it being Feng Shui:D!
