This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hehe brilliant, and flattering to be compared to Zappa (been a while since I'd seen footage of him, forgot just how excellent a human being he was).

At least, I hope to all fuck you were comparing me to Zappa and Curt to the other guy, and not the other way around.

Though there's also a bit of a disconnect in comparing Curt to a religious fundamentalist; but not as much as one would think. Its funny how in the extremes of the right and the left wing both groups start to think very much alike, in the idea that we must be protected from ourselves, it may be different things they want to protect us from (pornography vs. sugar, sex vs. smoking, dangerous books vs. jaywalking or not wearing seatbelts, etc etc) but the sentiment is precisely the same. Which is why guys like Curt can look like such hypocrites when someone suggests that say, decency laws should apply to gay pride marches, and he jumps up in arms about "censorship" even while he's advocating that guys who criticize Rebecca Borgstrom as a B-grade author need to be permabanned. He doesn't seem to get that the two are the same thing.

I got kicked off of RPG.net for organizing mass trolling from my own site, then using a sock puppet account to circumvent suspension. Wahh!

Fixed that for ya.

...I didn´t write the above quote.
I got kicked from RPGNet, cause I said borgstrom was a c-grade would be novelist. You are confusing me with AnimalBrasky and making up quotes. Which is either a humor I can´t understand, or just plain impolite.

The "fixed it for you" humor is not for everybody. When it's done well, the change is minor, and turns what was said into an amusing statement that the quoter imagines the quotee was really thinking, or they change it from something false to what they think is true. This time, the quoter changed your entire post, instead of just a couple funny details, and I consider it a good example of a FAILED "fixed it for you" joke.

It's being overused on NTL, and seems to be spilling over into NKL...
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.

Especially as it is untrue. he could make fun of me for being angry about being banned. But I never did what was insinuated above. And stating untrue stuff is not funny. It´s just a lie. I did come back as a socket puppet, but neither did troll, nor did I violate any rules. I just advertised an Interview on my blog.

I apologise for confusing you with somebody else, but sock puppeting is an obviously justified reason to get spanked by RPG.net, especially since that act's entire purpose is to circumvent suspension.

My first ban was not about puppeteering. I don´t care for the permaban. The first ban was the laughable thing. Why would comparing Curt to a Washington Post Journalist constitute a PA?

Take Eyebeamz' word for it; he knows a thing or two about getting permabanned from RPG.net himself.

I can't help it. That's pretty funny.

Kinda odd how these conflicts from other boards are popping up here...kinda like a rash. :grumpy:
