I don't run a gonzo game, so its not all that gonzo. That said:
- the PCs have managed to draw the attention of a demon with a penchant for necorphillic buggery
- one PC has been cursed by a witch and turned into a pig, the PCs are now using the PC pig to rig pig wrestling betting
The magic has been unpredictable, but I don't know if I would call it crazy. There has been a bit of corruption and patron taint. And two of the four Cleric PCs their god's disapproval such that they must go on a quest to aid the crippled, blind, lamed, sickly, etc. There have been times when the Wizards have rolled well. One time, the PCs are about the fight the final big-bad demon. The Wizard casts Magic Missile, rolls stupid high, and kills it with 69 points of damage. And one Wizard has been killingly effective with Color Spray at all the wrong times.
I have been running my DCC campaign for 3+ years. We play every two to three weeks. Each player has anywhere from four to six PCs. Out of 18 PCs only one has made it to 5th level. So far, other than 0-level funnels, only one PC has died, but there have been numerous times where a PC has been one hit away from being killed (I tend to roll like crap).
