This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So after a lot of struggle I got tired of playing online and while its been a struggle I finally got a group together to play in person and I am excited.

I will be running the game of course.  We are going to be playing D&D 5th edition and I am going to be running the Ghosts of Saltmarsh to get things going.

I have 6 players, 5 guys and a women which is kind of cool.

It will be great to actually play at a table instead of online.  Online works but nothing beat playing in person.

Agreed.  Nothing beats playing around the table.

We only took a 6-month break at the beginning of the madness, then went back to gaming around the table.

Common sense isn't common; if it were, everyone would have it.

Hoping to keep this going for a long time.  I think once Ghosts is finished I will run their characters in my homebrew world.  I was going to run the game from there but I decided to pull back and make sure it is polished before going forward.

At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs (don't know how long you've been GMing generally before), if you want to keep a table group going for the long haul and avoid burnout, mix in the odd one shot of different systems or even board game evenings!

I have been Gm's for around 30 years.  But your idea is also a good one and I may do must that.
