This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

i ran everything with traveller/MT back in college (late 80's).  basically it was similar to "doctor who" but w/o the time travel.  different game universes were the destinations.  most weren't too tough (like car wars, or shadowrun) but trying to pull off ad&d was rough.

i'd like to do it again, but this time with CoC/BRP.  not that i have the same amount of free time i did back then. . . .

I never felt prouder when I read people's blogs/threads that they used my Year of the Zombie products (written for d20) with All Flesh Must Be Eaten or Unisystem.

As for myself?

I run Rifts and Gamma World with d20 conversions.
I am becoming more and more hollow, and am not sure how much of the man I was remains.

I played Ravenloft using True 20 (the Blue Rose version), and also played in the world of Titan using D&D 3.5, both with the same DM.
As for myself I'm planning a Saint Seiya campaign using a modified version of True 20.

Oooh, I suddenly get this idea of Aldea as a creepy Ravenloft domain...

I've run a game set in Glorantha using Pendragon, and a gritty Arthurian game using HeroQuest.
The past lives on in your front room
The poor still weak the rich still rule
History lives in the books at home
The books at home

My GM is using Gurps 4e to run a game in Mystaria, which I think was a D&D setting.
It's working okay for me - my Gnome Illusion mage with a side order of Trickster and 3 levels of Fireball is doing pretty well :)

I convert everything I play to Fudge because it's a simple, tweakable system that I can use without ever having to consult the rulebook during play.
In order to qualify as a roleplaying game, a game design must feature:

1. A traditional player/GM relationship.
2. No set story or plot.
3. No live action aspect.
4. No win conditions.

Don't like it? Too bad.

Luckily the DM as well as myself think Aldea just plain sucks, so we only used the system.
But yeah I get what you mean, Aldea is one fucked up place.

..
Indeed it was.
But I'm not so sure about running Mystara with anything but the OD&D rules, maybe with AD&D rules, but I dunno, it just doesn't seem right to use Gurps.

Quasar

Yeah.

I'm played in...

Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms and Deadlands using Rolemaster.
CoC using Unisystem
The Babylon Project using SpaceMaster
Greyhawk using Shadowrun 2nd Edition.
Forgotten Realms using HARP
AFMBE using GURPS

Thats a few off the top of my head.

Using the Cyberpunk 2020 system;

 - Twilight 2000 (the lethality goes straight through the roof)
 - Boot Hill (using CP v1)
 - 2300ad
 - Homebrew modern day system

Using the RuneQuest 3 system;

 - Pendragon
 - Dungeons and Dragons (various versions)
 - - Dark Sun
 - - Greyhawk
 - - 'Expert' scenarios
 - Call of Cthulhu Dark Ages before it was written :)
 - Historical scenarios (English Civil War, Wars of the Roses, Roman Empire etc etc)
I don't believe in Forge Game Theory
