This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I wanna give this clone a spin.  Does anyone have recommendations for 3rd party modules or adventurers that work well with ACKS? I just picked up the player's companion and also own the core rules.

The Butcher

Most of the B and X series modules should be a straight fit. I'm particularly fond of B4, B10 and X1. I've even considered using X1 as the launching point for a "New World" sort of game, which I feel dovetails neatly with the whole idea of bold, rakish adventurers going out into ancient ruins and monster-infested wilds in search of riches, and eventually rising to proeminence as agents of civilization.

Here's an idea I've just had. Take the X1 map, make it part of a continent rather than an island, then supplement it with a booming colonial capital near the coast (backdrop for B10) and a lost city far off in the jungles, or mountains, or desert (B4). Bam, instant campaign. You're welcome ;)
