Check the links to the SRD I provided above, or the Monster Manual.

ECL is LA+Racial HD+Class levels. So an Ogre at 4 HD and LA +2 is an ECL of 6 before you add any class levels.

Edit: Duh silly me forgot the "Half" bit, I take it that has no Racial Hit Dice? I was thinking of Ogres.

Funny thing is that you actually wrote half-ogre in your other post :)

But yeah, the half-ogre don't have any racial HD.

Whirlwind attack could be nice, you'll be able to hit 24 squares instead of the usual 8.

My build: Monk 2/Fighter 1/Ranger 1/Psion 2. The next level will be Illithid Slayer. :D
