Yes and no.  He's only the person who's now in charge of future development of the 40k rpg line.  Games Workshop is still fully in charge of the IP and get final say.  However he did confirm a few things.

First is that the Rogue Trader book is still do for 2009 as well as a few other books like a bestiary and the 40k equivalent to Realms of Chaos.  Additionally the 3rd book that basically ups the scale again to Space Marine levels is still in the works and a possible 2010 release isn't out of the question.  To round it all out each book can either be played as a starting point for a new campaign but is also fully intended to be a next chapter in your on going characters saga.

He also said, with regards to how much freedom they have, since the Calaxis sector is their own personal part of the 40k verse they are pretty much free to do whatever they want with it.  It was a pretty solid interview.  There were things he confirmed some questions answered and a few more left out there that he's not allowed to answer.

But all in all if you are a Dark Heresy fan good things are coming and Fantasy Flight Games is solidly behind the product and it seems to be in good hands.

Yeah A good interview, but did anyone else notice him say that you won't play space marines in death watch. Because I did.

And it made me sad.
